About us

YCA is an acronym standing for Young Christian Academy. It is the New Testament kind of a house Church which was founded on June 8, 2012 by the conviction of the Holy Spirit through Pastor Heli Aimol, Benjamin Pamei and his wife Moi. YCA Ministries continued to have the fellowship and it is growing day by day. The house church has now grown to the status of a community church with all regular activities. No one is constrained to join or enticed to come along. However, we do invite our friends and colleagues especially the youngsters and miraculously at their own free will they all join hands and the lives of many youngsters have been impacted through the radical teaching of the Gospel of Grace and thus sometimes we also called YCA as “Yonder Calling All to Jesus”. Only the radical preaching of His Grace brings hope to believers as well as non-believers. We emphasized only to the finished work of Jesus on the cross, the devil hates the gospel of Grace because it causes the believers to live the victorious life.

YCA Team at Pastor Heli's residence

The Young Christian Academy (YCA) is a non-profit organization solely for young people, who are determined and dedicated to serve the confused and strayed young people in this perplexed and despondent age and to guide them to God and thus become useful citizens through activities, both spiritual and secular. The YCA seeks to bring young people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christian and establish right relationship with God through involvement in various items of interest and activities such as games, music, crafts, vocational camps, Bible studies and Christian works.

The moral problems of working in corrupt societies are so great that the answer cannot be discovered by isolated individuals themselves. Our goal therefore, is revolutionizing individuals through helping them discover and obey God’s will for them at home, in the schools are colleges in such a way that they will finds concrete solutions in their lives, in relation to world problems and to give themselves and their time in order to be able to understand other’s needs.

We believe every man and woman must have some personal involvement in the missionary work and purpose of God. It is right for us to begin this endeavour with our own Jerusalem i.e. our own community. However, we must not stop with this but extend it to Judea, our country and even to the uttermost part of the earth-the whole world. The YCA focuses to have a deeper understanding of the neglected or strayed youths of the day and initiated having a clear and full hearted involvement of both Christian and non-Christian youths in this endeavour. The YCA also believes that the only lasting solution to the problems of societies lies in the spiritual revolution of the young people. It also has social concern of Christian living, obedience to Christ’s teaching applied to social action.

Chingkhei Ngamba Jemz Haorongbam sharing the Word of God

There are millions of young people who are confused not knowing what to do and what not to do. As the scripture aptly says in Rom.10:14 & 15 “How shall they call on Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without preacher? And how shall they preach, except they are sent?”

YCA is burdened with the tremendous responsibilities that this scripture challenge brings. But, we, in the YCA are short of means. We have nothing except ourselves and our burdens. Nevertheless, we are ready to help others only if God is willing, inspite of our limited ways and means. The YCA is a faith ministry, fully depending on the providence of the Lord through his servants, the believers.

Faith Statement

Doctrine of the Bible (Bibliology)

  • We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, being comprised of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments only (II Tim 3:16). Every word of the Holy Scripture, as given by God to its physical writers through the moving of the Holy Spirit (II Peter 1:19-21), is inerrant and infallible in the original texts. (Psalm 119:160; John 17:17) The inspiration of Scripture is organic—that is, the Spirit used the writers own style and personalities in the actual writing, but controlled their thoughts and words as they wrote to convey the inspired words of God (II Sam 23:1-2; John 14:26; Jer. 1:7-9, 30:2).  Although the actual words of subsequent translations are not themselves inspired, the message of these translations is inspired inasmuch as it is accurate to the original autographs.

  • The authority of Scripture is derived from its own claim to be the Word of God (Rom 3:1-2; John 10:35; John 17:17) God’s Word is the authoritative judge of our thoughts, attitudes, and actions, and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice (II Tim 3:17; Heb. 4:12). The truth of Scripture is applicable to all times and situations, and will endure forever according to God’s promise to preserve His Word (Psalm 33:11; Psalm 12:7; Matt 5:18; I Peter 1:23)

  • We believe the Canon of Scripture to be complete and closed, and to include only the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. As God led certain men to write the Scripture, so he moved certain men to finalize the Canon of Scripture, utilizing the following criteria: apostolic authorship or authority, early church usage and acceptance, and consistence in message. As God’s completed special revelation, nothing should be added to or deleted from the content of the Scripture (Deut. 4:2; Rev 22:18-19).

  • We believe that Scripture should be interpreted in a normal literary sense, employing grammatical and historical context and using Scripture to interpret Scripture (I Cor. 2:13) The Holy Spirit of God will illumine believers to the truth of Scripture as they study to ascertain God’s truth (Psalm 119:130; I Cor. 2:12-16; I John 2:20-21; II Tim 2:15).

Doctrine of God (Theology Proper)

  • We believe there is one true, living God whose existence is infinite and eternal, with no beginning and no end (I Thes1:9; Isaiah 44:6; Jer. 10:10). His existence is assumed by Scripture and requires no outside documentation or proof (Gen 1:1). He is self-existent and needs no source of life or sustenance outside himself (John 5:26).

  • God is the origin and source of all life and substance, in whom all things have their existence and through whom all things were created and are sustained (Gen 1:1; Psalm 102:25; Neh. 9:6; John 1:3; Acts 17:24). God created all the earth and the universe, and all life that dwells therein, in six literal 24-hour days, and rested (ceased) from his creation on the seventh day (Gen 1:1-2:3; Exodus 20:11).

  • God has revealed himself to man through general revelation–creation, and an innate consciousness of God within man–and special revelation–His Word (Psalm 19:1-4; Rom 1:19-20; Rom 2:14-15)

  • While God is a Spirit, who must be worshipped in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24), he is also a personal being as demonstrated through his characteristics of life, intelligence, emotion, will, freedom, and self-consciousness ( Jer. 10:10; I Thes. 1:9; Acts 15;18; John 3:16, John 6:38-39; Dan 4:35, Eph. 1:1, Exodus 3:14).

  • God’s essence is defined through his attributes, both moral and non-moral:
    o Non-Moral
    ▪ Eternal (Psalm 90:1-2; Psalm 93:2)
    ▪ Infinite (I Kings 8:27; Psalm 147:5)
    ▪ Incomprehensible (Isaiah 55:8-9; Job 11:7)
    ▪ Perfect (Matt 5:48)
    ▪ Omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-10; Jer. 23:23-24)
    ▪ Omnipotent (Gen 17:1; Gen 18:14; Job 42:2; Luke 1:37)
    ▪ Omniscience (Job 42:2; Psalm 139:1-6; Psalm 147:5; Dan 2:20-22)
    ▪ Immutable (Mal 3:6; James 1:17)
    ▪ Sovereign (I Sam 2:6-8; I Chron. 29:11-12; Psalm 135:5-6; Dan 4:34-35; Acts 17:24- 26)

    o Moral
    ▪ Holy (Lev. 20:26; Isaiah 6:3; I Peter 1:15-16)
    ▪ Righteous (Psalm 111:3; Psalm 145:17; Jer. 9:24; Rom 9:14)
    ▪ Just (Job 34:12; Zeph. 3:5; Rom 3:26)
    ▪ Love (John 3:16; I John 4:8,16)
    ▪ Merciful (Psalm 118:29; Luke 6:36; II Cor. 1:3; Titus 3:5)
    ▪ Gracious (Eph. 1:6-7; Eph. 2:8; I Peter 5:10)
    ▪ Faithful (Psalm 119:90; Lam 3:23; I Cor. 1:9; I Thes. 5:24)
    ▪ Truth (Deut. 32:4; Psalm 100:5; John 3:33; Titus 1:2)

  • God is triune, one God existing as a unity of three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19; I John 5:7). Each is equal in essence and attribute, and is recognized as God (Eph. 4:6; John 1:1; Acts 5:3-4), yet a distinction is made as to the subordinate functions of the Son and the Spirit under the Father (John 4:34; John 10:30; John 15:26; John 16:13-15; I John 4:10; John 14:26)

Doctrine of Christ (Christology)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second person of the triune Godhead (John 1:1-2; I John 5:7) He is coequal in essence and attribute and is co-eternal with the Father (John 10:30; John 1:1-2). He is the Incarnate Word and is the full revelation of God to mankind (John 1:14; John 14:7-11; Col 2:9; Heb. 1:3).

  • The Incarnate Christ was born of the virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Matt 1:18-25; Luke 1:34-35) through the work of the Holy Spirit so that He might reveal God and redeem man from sin (Matt 1:18-20; Luke 1:35) While on this earth, Christ maintained his deity, but voluntarily suspended His divine attributes and prerogatives and became completely human, subject to all feelings, infirmities and temptations of living in a fleshly body, yet without sin (I Tim 2:5; Heb. 4:15). This hypo-static union of the perfect nature of God and the human nature of man made possible His sinless life, qualifying Him as an acceptable sacrifice to God for man’s sin, and the perfect high priest to make intercession for man to God (Heb. 10:10-22; Heb. 7:25).

  • Jesus Christ died voluntarily on the cross as the substitutionary and vicarious sacrifice for man (Rom 3:25-26; II Cor. 5: 21; Gal 3:13). His blood was necessary and sufficient to atone for the sins of mankind (Lev 17:11; Heb. 9:12; I Peter 1:18-19) and His death reconciled man to God from his position of enmity and alienation (Rom 5:10; Col 1:20-22). He rose again to life bodily after 3 days (Matt 28:5-6; I Cor. 15:3-4, 20) and ascended to heaven where He now sits at the right hand of God to intercede for those who believe (Rom 8:34, Heb. 4:14-16).

Doctrine of the Holy Spirit (Pneumatology)

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Triune Godhead, equal in essence and attribute with the Father (Matt 28:19; I Cor. 2:11). The Holy Spirit was active in creation (Gen 1:2), inspiration (II Peter 1:21), and incarnation (Luke 1:34-35).

  • The ministry of the Holy Spirit includes working in the hearts of mankind to bring understanding of the truth (John 16:13) and conviction of sin (John 16:8-11), regeneration and permanent indwelling of believers (Titus 3:5; John 14:16-17), sealing of believers unto redemption (II Cor. 1:22; Eph. 1:13), and baptism of believers into the body of Christ (I Cor. 12:12-13). In yielded believers, the Holy Spirit controls the life (Eph. 5:18), illumines the mind (I Cor. 2:12-14), provides assurance of salvation (Rom 8:16), produces spiritual fruit in the likeness of Christ (Gal 5:22-23), and makes intercession (Rom 8:26).

  • The Holy Spirit sovereignly bestows spiritual gifts upon believers for the work of the ministry and the edification of the saints (I Cor. 12; Eph. 4:11-12).

Doctrine of Angels (Angelology)

  • We believe that angels are immortal spirit beings (Luke 20:36; Heb. 1:14), created by God (Col 1:16, Psalm 148:5), each with individual personality and free-will (I Peter 1:12; Luke 15:10; II Peter 2:4). They were created to serve and worship God (Heb. 1:6, 13-14; Psalm 148:1-2), act as messengers of God (Luke 1:28-38; Luke 2:9-14; John 20:12), and defend and protect God’s people (Luke 4:10). They have the ability to appear on earth in the form of men.

  • Satan (Lucifer) was originally created as a perfect angel, but rebelled against God in pride and ambition (I Tim 3:7) and was cast from heaven (Isaiah 14:12-14). As the originator of sin (I John 4:8), he is the enemy of God and His children (I Peter 5:8), and works against men to deceive them and turn them away from God’s truth (Matt 13:19; II Cor. 4:4). He now reigns as the prince of this world (Eph. 2:2) with his host of angels (demons), who fell with him, in rebellion against God (Matt 12:24-26; Matt 25:41; Rev 12:9).  Because of their sin, these “fallen” angels are confirmed in their wickedness and have no hope of salvation (II Peter 2:4).  Satan was defeated at the cross (John 16:11; Heb. 2:14), and he and his demons will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire for eternity (Rev 20:10).

Doctrine of Man (Anthropology)

  • We believe that man (Adam) was created by God on the sixth day of creation from the dust of the ground (Gen 2:7). God created man in His own image (a spiritual, moral and personal resemblance) and breathed into him the breath of life and imparted to him an eternal soul (Gen 1:27). The nature of man consists of both a physical or material (body) and a spiritual or immaterial part (soul/spirit) (Mt. 10:28; Acts 7:59-60).

  • Adam was created perfect and holy in untested innocence (Gen 1:31; Heb. 7:29) and with the ability to fellowship with God (Gen 1:29; Gen 2:16-17; Gen 3:8-9). Upon being tempted, Adam chose to wilfully disobey God (Gen 2:17; Gen 3:6-7; Gen 3:14-19) and entered into sin, resulting in both spiritual death (separation from direct fellowship with God) and eventual physical death for himself and the entire human race after him (Heb. 9:27). The image of God in man was marred, but not destroyed, as a result of sin (James 3:9).

  • As descendants of Adam, all men are born into sin with a sinful nature (inability to choose God apart from the Spirit’s leading) (Psalm 51:5; Rom 5:12-21), and all men choose sin as a way of life (love for self over love for God) (Rom 3:10-12). All men are sinners by nature and by act, and fail to meet God’s standard of perfection (Rom 3:23). As a result, all are destined to eternal death and separation from God (Rom 6:23). Man can only be reconciled to God through the redeeming work of Christ in salvation (Rom 5:10; Col 1:21).

Doctrine of Sin (Hamartiology)

  • We believe that sin is defined as any lack of conformity to God’s standard and character of holiness. Sin can be an act (Rom 7:19), a disposition (Jer. 17:9), a thought (Matt 5:27-28), or an omission (James 4:17). The root of all sin is pride in its truest sense, a setting of self above God (Psalm 10:4; Psalm 119:21; Isaiah 14:12-15; Rom 1:21-22).

  • Sin originated with the rebellion of Satan in pride against God (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezek. 28:11-16; I Tim 3:6; I John 3:8).  Sin was introduced to the human race through Adam, God’s appointed representative of mankind, who willingly chose to disobey God (Gen 2:17; Gen 3:6-7, 14-19).  Adam’s sin is therefore imputed to the entire human race (Rom 5:12-21).

  • All men are born sinners, and willingly and knowingly enter into sin by choice and by nature (Rom 1:18-25; Isaiah 1:6; Eph. 2:2-3). Sin permeates every part of man so that man is totally depraved and void of any good (Eph. 4:17-19; Romans 3:10-12; Rom 6:12; Romans 8:5-8).

  • The ultimate punishment for sin is death (Rom 6:2; James 1:15), both physical and spiritual, resulting in separation from fellowship with God (Gen 2:17; Gen 3:8-24; Eph. 4:18) and eternal punishment in hell (John 3:18; Rev 20:12-15).

Doctrine of Salvation (Soteriology)

  • We believe that man is inherently and totally sinful, and that he cannot save himself from the effects or the penalty of sin, nor restore his own fellowship with God (Rom 3:20; Rom 7:18).

  • Because of His love, God provided a means of salvation to all mankind through the atoning blood of Christ, who died on the cross to redeem man from sin (John 3:16; I John 2:2). Salvation is the gift of God (Rom 6:23), available to all only by God’s grace and through faith (Eph. 2:8,9), and effected in all those who believe (submit to) the truth of the Gospel (John 6:47; John 20:31; Rom 1:16).

  • One can only come to God for salvation as he is drawn of the Father (John 6:44). God draws men to Him through the preaching and hearing of His Word (Rom 1:16-17; Rom 10:17; I Peter 1:23), and through the work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts as He generates an understanding of the truth and conviction of their sinful state (John 6:63; John 16:7-11; I John 5:6).

  • One is saved as he trusts in the saving work of Christ (John 20:31; Acts 16:31), repents of his sin (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30), and claims the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour (Rom 10:9- 13).  In salvation, one is regenerated unto eternal life (Titus 3:5; Eph. 2:1, 4-5), reconciled to fellowship with God (Rom 5:10; Col 1:21) and redeemed from the power of sin (Rom 6:1-14).

  • Once a believer is saved, he is eternally secure as God’s adopted child (Rom 8:15; Eph. 1:5), with no possibility of ever losing that position in God nor the hope of eternity with God (John 10:27-30; Romans 8:38-39; Jude 24).

  • When a believer is saved, he is justified through the blood and righteousness of Christ (Rom 5:1,9, 18), and sanctified unto a life of holiness to God (I Cor. 6:11; I Thes. 4:2-7; I Peter 1:16; I John 3:1- 3).  This sanctification process continues through our natural lives as the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts and minds into conformity with Christ as we yield to Him and obey His Word (Rom 12:1-2). The believer’s sanctification will be complete when he receives a glorified body at Christ’s return (Phil 3:21; I John 3:2).

Doctrine of the Church (Ecclesiology)

  • We believe that the Church is made up of all who are saved and baptized by the Spirit into the body of Christ (Col 1:18, 24; I Cor. 12:12-13) from the day of Pentecost until Christ returns to earth to claim His own (Acts 1:5; Acts 11:15-16; I Cor. 12:12-14; Gal 3:26-29; Eph. 1:22-23). When Christ returns again, the Church will be united together and be presented as the Bride of Christ (I Thes. 4:16-18; Eph. 5:23-27).

  • The local church is the physical and visible representation of the Body of Christ (Acts 2:47; I Tim 3:15), and is God’s institution through which believers glorify God in carrying out His objectives of worship, service, evangelism, and edification of the saints (Matt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:42; Acts 20:7; I Cor. 14:23-26; Eph. 4:7-16; Heb. 10:24-25). As such, all believers should be part of a local body of believers.

  • The leadership of the local church is defined by two Scriptural offices: pastor (elder) and deacon (Phil 1:1). Any one considered to serve in either of these offices should exhibit the work of the Holy Spirit in his life as evidenced by the prerequisite characteristics and gifts laid out in Scripture (I Tim 3:1-13; Titus 1:7-9).

  • The local church should practice two ordinances as defined by Scripture: baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matt 28:19; Acts 2:38-42; I Cor. 11:17-26). Baptism is a step of obedience to God by a believer (Acts. 2:38) and an outward testimony of regeneration to new life in Christ (Gal 3:27). The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is the commemoration of Christ’s shed blood and broken body in His substitutionary death for the atonement for the sin of mankind (I Cor. 11:23-26). Both baptism and the Lord’s Supper neither are symbolic in nature, not sacramental, and neither ordinance results in nor guarantees salvation to any of its participants.

  • God has called the Church to purity (holiness) in doctrine and in practice. As the Body of Christ, believers in the local church should practice separation from the world (including its philosophy and influence) (I John 2:15-17; I Cor. 6:14-17; Eph. 5:1-8), from doctrinal error and those who teach it (Matt 7:15; II John 9-11; I Tim 1:19-20), and from any who live blatantly in opposition to the life of holiness to which God has called all believers (II Tim 3:1-7; I Cor. 5:11; II Thes. 3:6-15; Rom 16:17- 18). Those professing believers who fail to practice sound doctrine or Biblical moral conduct, and who refuse exhortation and the call to repentance in such cases, should be placed under Biblical church discipline in love for the purpose of fostering repentance and restoration (Matt 18:15-17; Rom 16:17-18; I Cor. 5:1-13; II Thes. 3:6-15; Gal 6:1; Eph. 4:15-16).

Doctrine of the End Times (Eschatology)

  • We believe that the current age of the Church will end with Christ’s imminent return to earth to gather his Church unto himself. At His return, all dead saints will be resurrected bodily from the earth, and all saints still living will be taken up bodily from the earth, and together they will meet the Lord in the air (I Cor. 15:51-57; I Thes. 4:13-18).  Following this, all believers will present as the Bride of Christ at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Rev 19:7-10).

  • A period described as the Great Tribulation will occur during which time the Antichrist will come to power and make a false peace with Israel (Dan 9:26-27) . Halfway through the seven years of the Tribulation, he will break the treaty of peace (Dan 9:27; Matt 24:15) and there will be great suffering for all and severe persecution of Israel and those believers who are alive on the earth (Rev 13:6-7; Zeph. 1:14-18; Matt 24:21).

  • The Great Tribulation will end with the coming of Christ to earth, when he will gather the remnant of his own, judge the nations and set up his millennial kingdom on earth (Dan 7:13-14; Jer. 23:5-6; Matt 24:27-31; Rev 19:11-21; Rev 20:4), during which Satan will be bound (Rev 19:20; Rev 20:1-3). The Millennial Reign will conclude with a brief period of rebellion after Satan is loosed on earth (Rev 20:7-9), followed by the Great White Throne Judgment, where all unbelievers from all ages will be cast into the Lake of Fire with Satan and his angels for eternity (Rev 20:9-15), while all believers will spend eternity with the Lord (I Thes 4:17).

  • Because the day of Christ’s return is not known by any, believers should be ready and watching, serving the Lord in all diligence (Matt 24:42-47).

Gospel Ministry

YCA Gospel ministry is a ministry in which we share Christ’s love, passion and for the lost world. Jesus Christ trusted it to us so that we could bring it to others. A gospel-centered church is a mission church with a passion to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to all people. “For God so loved the World and that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. (John 3:16)

Our Gospel Ministry has been sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to many people, including children and we also have seen many people transformed their lives because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are not ashamed, because the Word of God encourages us not to be ashamed of the gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek”. (Romans. 1:16).  God wants everyone should believe in Jesus and be saved and therefore, we believe that the only Gospel of Grace can save everyone those who believe in Jesus name.

The Gospel Ministry has been working for the glory of God in different activities.

Children Ministry

History

One evening as Pastor Heli was on his way to a hospital to pray for one lady, a small boy came at the red light selling a pen. Looking at the boy, he thought “Is this the future of my country where people resort to begging on road? Does this small boy know his creator, his provider, his redeemer? Undoubtedly not! If he knew and believed in God, he would have received God’s provision. But who will direct him in the ways of God?” This incident brought a revelation in Pastor Heli’s heart to start YCA Children Ministry which was later officially named as Good News Club by Mr. Benjamin Pamei.

“Nipper” and “Urchin”, these two words are heart rending because Jesus loved children and said that the kingdom of God belongs to the people such as these. Wasn’t a good citizen a child once? Wasn’t a criminal a child once? Then why this difference? The Bible says, “Train up a child in a way he should go?” It says “A child” not “the child”. This means we are responsible to train up children in the way they should go. Hence we endeavour to commit our life to the holistic development of children, irrespective of cast, creed and religion.

A child is like a young plant that needs plenty care and concern to grow to its fullness and bear good fruits. It needs congenial environment, good nourishment, lots of caring, pruning and shaping. Millions of children in India are on streets, in slums. They have no food to eat and if at all they have food it is not balanced diet. As a result they are malnourished which causes their physical problems like poor eyesight, skin problems, retardation of brain, improper physical growth etc.

Due to the lack of education the children grow in a society that doesn’t care for hygiene e.g. Sanitation, prevention from decease causing insects and parasites. Their livings conditions are unclean, eating habits are unhygienic. Hence a lot of epidemics spread around. Because of unavailability of immediate medical care the physical ailments are ignored at the initial stages and due to the lack of knowledge available medical facilities are considered of no values. This results into serious physical disorders like polio, night blindness, myopia etc. If not cared for, many of these children are taken into antisocial activities by mafias like beggar’s band, thieves, pick pockets, lifters and furthermore criminals.

What is our responsibility towards them? Jesus said, “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea”. (Matt.18:6). Are we to cause them and stumble or are we to save them from stumbling. Today’s child is the future of the nation!

MOTTO: “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it”. (Prov.22:6)

    h. Care and harmony.
  8. Social awareness, relationship management and good habits.
  9. Develop global awareness.

Our workers are indeed committed to the vision and mission of the organization because our workers are those who work with us with the same vision and agree to our mission activities. We do not employ workers. They come and cooperate with us under God’s call and go too far and unreached places.

To fulfil our mission we have planned to set up:

  1. Education centres: To set up centres for primary education where children are given academic education, Moral Science and Bible education.
  2. Medical Camps: To check and treat their physical growth and health.
  3. Good News Club: For their character building and Christian education with training them for a future responsible citizen.
  4. Balanced diet once a day: A balanced diet is necessary for their overall growth.
  5. Counselling parents: The child needs congenial homely environment for inculcating his learning.
  6. Arranging health visitors: Timely health checkups will keep them protected from diseases and physical hazards.
  7. Children libraries: We arrange to provide book and educational comics for children to gain secular and spiritual knowledge.
  8. Games and Sports: A sound body has a sound mind. All studies and no pay make lack a dull boy.
  9. Fine arts activities: Children are given in the education centre opportunity to show and develop their various talents.
  10. Picnic and educational tour: Picnics with sightseeing makes children aware of their national heritage.

These activities need a lot of manpower and as per the labour law we do not have finances to keep workers. Hence we seek helpers who are of one mind with us and committed to the vision.

Our VBS program should not only complement parents’ efforts but also aid and encourage them in their teaching and living out of God’s truths.

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4

A. The Purpose of the Children’s VBS Program.

Our primary purpose is to teach the love of God.

  • We can do this in many ways as we reflect His love in the class by example and instruction.
  • The children need to have an understanding of who God is and why and how He loves them.
  • We can define the Word of God by explaining what God has done for them and for the world.
  • Tell the children that we can understand God by learning about Jesus, who was like God in every way.

B. Communicating Love and Acceptance to Each Child

  •  Children’s Teacher should focus comments on inward qualities of the child rather than on the child’s appearance or abilities.
  • The Children’s Teacher is to prepare each for future activities by explaining what is going to happen and what the child is to do.
  • The Children’s Teacher is to assign achievable tasks to the child according to his age, abilities, concentration, and coordination.
  • The Children’s Teacher is to demonstrate to the child how to complete a task successfully and then let the child try on his own to do it.

C. Implementing the Purpose of the Children’s Program

  • As Children’s Teachers, it is our responsibility to have all class preparation completed before the children arrive so that we can greet each child by name and give specific directions for free play time and/ or opening activities. When children are new to the program they need special guidance in making choices.
  • Use of the child’s name is important. Encourage the children to learn the names of others in the class.
  • Make eye contact when talking with the children.
  • Never shout across the room at the child; go to the child and give correction or direction in a quiet voice.
  • The children’s Teacher is to offer signs of affection frequently (such as hugging, squeezing the hand, patting on the back, and holding on the lap). Especially for the new child who shows insecurity with the new class experiences.

“Teaching is the most incredibly demanding and challenging profession amongst all professions. As teachers, you are the ‘holder of information’ and your role is to impart this knowledge and skill to your students.”

BY LEARNING YOU WILL TEACH, BY TEACHING YOU WILL LEARN

Dear beloved, this is God’s ministry-not ours, let’s reflect on these thoughts of the Apostle Paul concerning his ministry:

In the same way, my brothers, when I came to proclaim to you God’s secret purpose, I did not come equipped with any brilliance of speech or intellect. You may as well know now that it was my secret determination to concentrate entirely on Jesus Christ himself and the fact of his death upon the cross. As a matter of fact, in myself I was feeling far from strong; I was nervous and rather shaky What I said and preached had none of the attractiveness of the clever mind, but it was a demonstration of the power of the Spirit! Plainly God’s purpose was that your faith should rest not upon man’s cleverness But upon the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

CHILD EVANGELISM:

The first ever Good News Children’s Summer Camp was held at Priya Park,Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. At this Summer Camp hundreds of children came from Kusumpur pahar, Vasant Vihar, Prya Colony, and Vasant Vihar CPWD Colony. The children learnt about the names and Characters of God and Biblical attitude towards suffering, obedience and the blessing from the story of Joseph that is in the book of Genesis. The teacher and guides were from Child Evangelism, real experts on child welfare and education. Their main emphasis was on the character of Joseph who emphasized the magnanimity of his faith and integrity of his godly character. By God’s grace and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit it was a great success. Children were delighted, exhilarated and were engrossed as if they were at their own homes.

Home Ministry

Welcome to YCA Home Ministry.

YCA Home Ministry is one of the most important tools of Gospel Fellowship.

In Acts 2:42 we read that one of the four things the early church devoted itself to was “fellowship.” Fellowship was a very important part of their reason for meeting together. It was one of their objectives. But what is fellowship?

We often hear people talking about fellowship. We hear it said that what we need is more fellowship. But our modern ideas of fellowship have become so watered down that the word no longer carries the same meaning it did in New Testament times.

We are not surprised that the early church devoted itself to “the apostles’ teaching” and also “to prayer.” Apart from the ministry of the Holy Spirit, these are the two most important means of growth, power, and effectiveness in the Christian life and this is very important in our daily life.

If you want to grow in the Word of God and live intimate relationship with Him, then our Home Ministry is the right place for you. We are open for friendship, feel free to step in any of the address mentioned below and experience His tangible presence.

Home Ministry Vasant vihar prayer Cell

Life is not meant to be lived alone. In fact, God hates loneliness. You were created to experience life with other people, and that’s why at YCA Gospel Fellowship we encourage you to get into a small group of Fellowship. A small group is a group of three or more people who gather each week in a home and different places. In a group you’ll share, study the Word, and pray together. No matter where you are in life, there’s a group for you.
